My Story

I still remember seeing my first D.O.T.S. (Dozens Of Terrific Stamps) catalog.  My mother had attended a party and brought home a catalog.  I was in love, wanted everything, and had no money.  So I held my first party at age 18.  Doris Evans was my Demonstrator.

A few months later, I signed up under her to be a Demonstrator myself.  I loved it!  My job was the best college job ever!  I attended and even taught at Conventions.  I saw the company grow and was even there when the first Close To My Heart products were released.  Then I began moving - at least once a year for 10 years.  Virginia, Rhode Island, Iowa, Massachusetts, California, Colorado.  So I packed up my heavy wooden stamps and all of my equipment and left it at my parents' house in Missouri.

After I married and settled down in Colorado, I called Doris right back up and I was off and running again!

I love Close to My Heart for so many reasons.  The wonderful people I have met.  The creative outlet it provides me without feeling overwhelmed (except when my children were very small!).  The business opportunities it provides.  The company's values mirror so many of my own: integrity, sisterhood, and love of life!

There is something magical about Close to My Heart, and I am proud and excited to be part of that magic!
